A 2025 peer-reviewed review published in Sexual Medicine Reviews by researchers at Baylor College of Medicine addressed the most common misconceptions surrounding testosterone replacement therapy. After reviewing current literature, researchers found no evidence that TRT increases prostate cancer risk, no evidence that TRT increases cardiovascular risk, and confirmed that TRT is associated with meaningful improvements in energy, sexual function, mood, motivation, bone density, and quality of life in men with testosterone deficiency.
